Ports & terminal
Two river ports on the Belayan and a coal terminal on the Mahakam take our coal from stockpile to barge, and on to the Muara Jawa anchorage.
Our facilities
Coal is hauled from the pit to Long Mahli Port, barged down the Belayan River to Kota Bangun Coal Terminal, then transferred to larger barges for the Mahakam run to the anchorage.
Belayan River · LMP
Our first river port, 12 km from the RMB mine and 20 km from the IBP mine. Three barge loading conveyors with feeder breakers load river barges for the 178 km run to KBCT.
10million tonnes a year port throughput capacity
Belayan River · KJP
A new, larger port closer to the mine, 31 km from RMB and 39 km from IBP. It shortens the river leg to KBCT to 126 km and doubles port capacity for the 20 Mt plan.
20million tonnes a year port throughput capacity
Mahakam River · KBCT
At Bukit Jering, Muara Kaman, KBCT unloads river barges, stockpiles coal and reloads big barges for the 115 NM (213 km) trip to the Muara Jawa anchorage.
27million tonnes a year port throughput capacity
Supporting infrastructure
New stockpiles, roads and site facilities are being added alongside the ports so every link in the chain keeps pace with production.

Accommodation

Life on site
Our site accommodation gives employees and contractors a safe, comfortable base between shifts.
Living on site
Our mine sits 225 km northwest of Samarinda, six to seven hours by road. Good accommodation on site means our people spend less time on the road and more time resting.
The residences are modern single-storey houses with pitched roofs and covered verandas, linked by paved walkways and set among planted verges. Site accommodation is part of the infrastructure we are building toward 20 Mt by 2029.
What you'll find
An orderly layout of houses, paths and parking that makes daily life on site simple.

Single-storey houses with pitched roofs, covered verandas and large windows for light and air.

Paved paths and street lighting connect the houses, so getting around is easy after a night shift.

Dedicated parking keeps site vehicles close to the residences and off the walkways.
Rest and safety
Safety is the first letter of STRIVE. Proper rest between shifts helps our people stay alert at the controls of trucks, cranes and conveyors.

Our people
From the pit to the port to our offices in Samarinda and Jakarta, one team moves Muliabara forward.
One team
Our people work across the mine at Long Beleh Modang, Long Mahli Port, Kota Bangun Coal Terminal, and our offices in Samarinda and Jakarta.
Our mission commits us to prioritizing employee well-being and partnering with the community while delivering profitability. That starts with how we work together every day.

Core values
Our six values are printed on the back of every uniform, in the same colors you see here.
Safety
Hard hats, high-visibility workwear and the green K3 occupational safety emblem are part of every working day, at the pit, the conveyors and the jetty.
Leadership
In team sessions, our leaders share where Muliabara is heading and listen to the teams who make it happen.

Community & environment
Our teams plant tree seedlings on site, each one marked with the name of the person who planted it. It is one small way we act on our commitment to sustainable mining and responsible environmental management.
We work alongside the villages of Gunung Sari, Long Beleh Modang and Muai, and aim to grow together with the communities around our mine and ports.
